This edition will take us far north to the Land of the Midnight Sun. Tyler Schwab photographs the incredible character of Alaska in all its brilliance: vast mountainous landscapes, glacial views, abundant wildlife and, of course, amazing fishing.  Arctic char, coho salmon, grayling, rainbow trout and sockeye salmon fill this classic essay.

Todd Moen’s latest T-Motion film Hopper Season is a thrilling, top water chase for rainbow and brook trout on South-Central Oregon’s spring-fed Williamson River.  Featuring fourth-generation ranch owner Tom Hyde, this is fly fishing adventure at its finest.

New Zealand’s Cedar Lodge, on the South Island near Wanaka, is the setting for Brian O’Keefe’s essay New Zealand- Part II.  No one quite captures the essence of a place like O’Keefe, and here’s the true experience New Zealand offers.  “…gorgeous mountains, lush green valleys, waterfalls, pastoral farmland, glaciers, trout water that blows your mind, smiling Kiwis, five-pound trout, ice cold beers, green lipped mussels, helicopters, wineries and so much more..” says O’Keefe.  What more can you ask for?

We all could use a little refresh sometimes. A reset.  A push toward the real goods….and yes, a cold plunge.
