Todd received an invitation he couldn’t refuse, and this is how “Bristol Bay Trout Spey- Alaska” was born. Jack Mitchell of The Evening Hatch, asked him to come up to Alaska for an experience on the rainbow trout fishery Kvichak River.
The Kvichak River is in the Bristol Bay/ Pebble Mine area, and it has been on Todd’s bucket list for years. So with 4 days to film, he brought up Jakob Lund to be angler on camera.
As Todd’s wingman, Jakob has fishing in his blood and grew up trout fishing in his native country of Denmark. Jakob’s experience with two handed micro spey rods and larger spey rods made him the perfect choice for a film of this caliber. Brutal conditions demanded excellence in angling technique, and Jakob nailed it.
