This T-Motion Theater is particularly special to us here at Catch Magazine. “Stella’s Way: A Canadian Flyfishing Journey,” introduces the youngest of the Moen crew in a story that is honestly heartwarming (and often hilarious), narrated from her age 14 perspective. This is Stella’s long-awaited first time in the spotlight as angler on camera for her dad’s video, the cornerstone of Catch Magazine. Together she and her dad, Todd Moen, traveled to British Columbia’s far north to stay at Northern Rockies Adventures’ lodge and outpost cabins. There, they were guided by Daniel and Yareni Schildknecht, who took them off-the-grid not just to flyfish for pike and grayling, but to experience the wilderness in a variety of exhilerating ways.
Stella rode in a side-by-side ATV on designated backcountry roads. She flew in a Turbo Otter into a remote lake. She jetted by motor boat into incredible Canadian fisheries. She spent some time at an outpost cabin and even soaked in natural hot springs. The weather was atypically wet, with constant rain. The fishing was tough. This film illustrates the classic waiting game so many anglers understand…hoping for the best fishing while waiting out the weather. It takes patience. This could be one of Todd’s favorite videos, but of course he’s biased when it comes to Stella. Enjoy the film!

Todd’s combined interest in film and fish began as a kid: he explored and filmed the big waters of western Washington and the blue-ribbon trout streams of his birthstate Montana. Years of traveling the far ends of the globe as a professional videographer and burning the midnight oil to design web media, Todd is living his dream with the production of Catch Magazine.
