Todd’s most recent film documents British Columbia, one of his most favorite places to film over the span of nearly 20 years behind a camera for Catch Magazine. In a unique style even for Todd, he narrates this T-Motion film and truly captures “behind the lens” ideas and reflections about shooting video and working closely with so many special people in beautiful British Columbia. It’s the people he’s met, not just the fish he’s filmed, that continue to inspire him to return to B.C. year after year.
The Hickman Family, who own and operate Kimsquit Bay Lodge near B.C.’s famous Dean River, have become Todd’s good friends over the years. Here he compiles years of footage to help illustrate the way rivers, and special places, connect people through shared experiences.
“Rivers aren’t only about fish,” says Todd in his video. “They’re about the people who live and breathe them. Who pass through them and who pass them down.”
Special thanks to all the amazing folks in B.C. over the past 20 years who have contributed to Todd’s various films up North. Specifically for this one; deep gratitude for Kimsquit Bay Lodge crew, owners Kathryn and Jeff Hickman, R.L. Winston Fly Rods, Bauer Fly Reels and Scientific Anglers for their generous time, talent and friendships to make this film possible.

Todd’s combined interest in film and fish began as a kid: he explored and filmed the big waters of western Washington and the blue-ribbon trout streams of his birthstate Montana. Years of traveling the far ends of the globe as a professional videographer and burning the midnight oil to design web media, Todd is living his dream with the production of Catch Magazine.
